Frameless Glass Balustrades

Structural Steelworks

Emergency Replacement Unit

  • Client:
    McDonalds
  • Architect:
    GD
  • Contractor:
    Galamast
  • Address:
    McDonalds, London
Key Challenges
  • Extremely challenging site location and logistics for glazing
  • Extremely challenging programme dates
  • Calculations for barrier loadings
  • The Brief
Working with the architect at planning stage, Bespoke Glass Structures submitted a pc sum to the client for the required works. We were appointed to the project and worked with the architect to come up with some provisional designs.
  • Our Approach
Programme and methodology were vital to the whole approach and were the major drivers throughout the design process.
After completion of design with the architects we ran through the calculations with our structural engineer to ensure everything designed was fit for purpose.

Q-RAL base channel was installed directly into our structural steel, removing any deflection.

Just 42 Hours before opening of the restaurant, an external bespoke triple glazed unit was damaged. Bespoke Glass Structures sent their operatives to site on an evening to remove the damaged unit. As only one pane was broken, the unit was taken back to our factory in Barking and was changed, enabling the team to re-install later the next evening.
  • The Result
Now fully complete, the project looks highly impressive and have made the clients and architects vision a reality.

Now you really can introduce a little wow factor to your business, giving it some extra light and space at the same time.
